Job Description:
Perform quantity take-offs, and source suppliers and sub-contractors.
Collaborate closely with the project team to ensure the timely appointment of subcontractors and suppliers.
Prepare and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
Prepare and submit progress claims and respond to subcontractor payment queries.
Identify and initiate claims for variations to the contract.
Administer the contract to ensure full compliance and conformance to terms.
Resolve disputes with stakeholders and finalize project accounts.
Participate in the tendering process, with duties assigned by the team leader.
What makes you perferred:
Support the Contracts Manager in overseeing and guiding a team of project Quantity Surveyors.
Assist in preparing project cost budgets, developing cash flow projections, and adjusting budget estimates based on changes in design or construction work.
Assist with extension of time and cost claims.
Lead the preparation of tenders for building projects, including pricing and costing.
Oversee and manage projects from inception to final account closure.
Job Requirement:
A Diploma or Degree in Building, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
Candidates with sufficient experience will be considered for a Senior role.
Proficient knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract (PSSCOC/SIA/REDAS).
Familiarity with contract law and the SOP (Security of Payment) Act.
Ability to work with tight deadlines.
Good communication skills.
