Job Description
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and negotiate contract terms.
- Administer pre- and post-contract duties including measurement, valuation of variations, and progress claims.
- Manage procurement processes for subcontractors, materials, and services.
- Monitor project budgets and ensure financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare interim payment applications, final accounts, and cost reports.
- Review and certify subcontractor claims, payments, and final settlements.
- Liaise with project managers, consultants, and clients on contractual and commercial matters.
- Maintain and update documentation and cost records in line with company and statutory requirements.
- Support contract team in resolving contractual disputes and risk mitigation.
Job Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years (QS) or 5 years (Senior QS) of relevant experience in the construction industry.
- Experience in HDB projects (public housing) is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., PSSCOC), procurement procedures, and cost control.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work under tight deadlines.
- A team player with initiative and a proactive attitude.
