Refined Oil Trader
to focus on
physical trading
of refined petroleum products, emphasizing structured, long-term transactions and contract flows.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Execute physical trades of refined oil products including gasoil, gasoline, jet fuel, and fuel oil.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with refineries, NOCs, end-users, and distributors.
Negotiate term contracts, structured deals, and offtake agreements across targeted markets.
Coordinate shipping logistics, storage, documentation, and contract execution with internal teams.
Analyze supply-demand trends, pricing movements, and risk exposures to support trade decisions.
Ensure adherence to risk limits, compliance standards, and international trade regulations.
Maintain accurate trading records and report performance and market insights to senior management.
The Successful Applicant
Minimum 5 years in physical refined oil trading.
Deep knowledge of refined product markets, trade flows, and pricing mechanisms (e.g., Platts/Argus contracts).
Strong network in Asia-Pacific, Middle East, or SEA refined oil markets.
Familiarity with trade finance instruments, shipping logistics, and incoterms.
Negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
