Relief Teaching Assistant, Early Years - SAIS

Stamford American International School (Stamford American) is a leading international school in Singapore serving students from 2 months to 18 years across two campuses, with over 3,000 students and more than 350 faculty from over 40 nationalities.

The school offers the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP).


The school now has an exciting opportunity for a Relief Teaching Assistant to join the Early Years team.


About the Role
The Relief Teaching Assistant assists teachers in delivering the education program within the classroom and supports activities inside and outside the classroom to ensure students are safe, happy, and learning in a positive and nurturing environment.

A Relief Teaching Assistant does not have fixed hours; shifts are allocated by the relief coordinator when a permanent staff member is off work.


Responsibilities
Assist teachers in delivering the education program within the classroom and support activities inside and outside the classroom.


Contribute to a safe, happy, and positive learning environment for very young children.


Qualifications and Position Requirements
At least 1 year of experience working with children or relevant educational certificate/diploma.


Willing to work with very young children.


Ability to work under pressure and use initiative.


Possess highly developed interpersonal and teamwork skills.


Excellent verbal and written English skills.


Proficient in using computers.


Good references on request.
