Overview
Our GeoSpatialX lab, based in the Geography Department at National University of Singapore, conducts infectious disease transmission and control studies.
We are seeking to recruit a Research Assistant to work on using statistical/AI models to better understand the geographic spread of mosquito-transmitted viruses (e.g., dengue) under future climate change scenarios in Southeast Asia.
Responsibilities
Apply statistical and AI models to study geographic spread of mosquito-transmitted viruses under climate change scenarios.
Collaborate in an interdisciplinary project environment across cognate disciplines (e.g., geography, demography, statistics, medicine, computer science, ecology, epidemiology).
Contribute to data analysis, modelling, and interpretation to support project goals.
Qualifications
Master or equivalent professional qualifications with relevant research experience in an epidemiology/health geography/statistical/mathematical/quantitative discipline.
Strong experience in statistical modeling, AI, infectious disease modelling, and computer programming is advantageous.
Flexibility to accommodate diverse expertise from related fields.
