We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant in the Vascular Mechano-medicine Lab of Dr. Shailaja Seetharaman at the MBI and Department of Physiology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS.
The Vascular Mechano-medicine Lab ( decodes and engineers the fundamental feedback mechanisms driving vascular tissue function in health and disease, with the goal of translating these discoveries into disease prediction and novel therapeutic strategies
The Research Assistant will gain expertise in cell and tissue biology, quantitative biology, and bioengineering approaches to uncover how mechanical forces affect blood vasculature in cardiovascular aging and disease.
Specifically, the Research Assistant will develop interdisciplinary high-throughput screening approaches using 2D and 3D models of vascular systems.
He/ she will carry out this research project with close mentorship and guidance, in a highly collaborative and interactive environment
