The laboratory of Asst Prof Liang Kun (Skin Bioengineering and Devices Lab) at LKCMedicine (Novena Campus) is seeking a highly motivated research assistant to work on the development of functional biomaterials for skin regeneration and wound healing.
In addition to conducting experiments, the assistant will also manage laboratory administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
Perform routine assays/experiments, including cellular assays, histology, immunohistostaining etc.
Conduct animal experiments, including handling, monitoring, wound generation and treatments.
Provide support in data analysis.
Participate in laboratory management and organization including inventory, housekeeping, data management and risk assessments etc.
Assist with procurement and safety-related duties.
Collaborate actively with lab members as well as other external stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (for Assistant) and Master's degree (for Associate) in Biomedical Sciences / Life Sciences, Bioengineering or related fields.
Some experience in animal handling and experiments.
Some experience in biomaterials and formulations.
Experience in biochemical and molecular assays preferred.
Able to plan and execute experiments with minimal supervision.
Knowledge in biomaterials and skin physiology will be advantageous.
