We are developing a new class of optomechanical which uses meta surfaces for optical control of mechanical motion.
These systems would be powerful tools for sensing, fundamental physics, and quantum technologies.
This role involves hands-on lab work such as:
Set up and align optical systems.
Assemble and maintain vacuum systems.
Assist with electronics work and data acquisition.
Run and maintain experiments to characterize mechanical motion and optical interactions.
Requirements:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Physics, Optics, Engineering, or related fields.
Experience in any of the following is a plus (but not mandatory): Optics & lasers, Vacuum systems and/or Electronics.
Programming (such as python, Mathematica, or MATLAB).
We will provide training and supervision, so candidates do not need to have prior experience.
