We are looking for a Research Fellow to research on the areas of 3D printing technologies using advanced modeling and simulation.**Key Responsibilities:*** Development of design rules for 3D printed parts that are fabricated by various additive manufacturing (AM) and hybrid manufacturing processes.* Development of analytic models, simulation, and optimization for the AM processes and design automation for AM process.* Development of a predictive model for AM and hybrid manufacturing processes using Digital Twins* Development of 3D printing technology roadmap with digital twins in various industries**Job Requirements:*** PhD in the area of Industrial, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering* Demonstrated experience in the area of design, methods, modelling, and Optimization for 3D design process, particularly in the automotive applications of polymer and metallic powders and laser added 3D printing.* Knowledge of engineering design, multidisciplinary design optimization, FEA simulation and experience in laser added 3D printing will be considered.* Proven record of good research performance with publications in top-tier journals.We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.Hiring Institution: NTUNTU is also home to world-class autonomous institutes – the National Institute of Education, S Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Earth Observatory of Singapore, and Singapore Centre for Environmental Life Sciences Engineering – and various leading research centres such as the Nanyang Environment & Water Research Institute (NEWRI) and Energy Research Institute @ NTU ( ).Ranked amongst the world’s top universities by QS, NTU has also been named the world’s top young university for the past seven years.
