We are seeking two Research Fellows to contribute to a project focused on the collective motion of bacteria and mechanics of bacterial colonies and biofilms.
The role involves experiments, theory, and numerical simulations.
One position focuses on experimental work, and the other on theory and simulations.
Key Responsibilities
Design experimental systems and perform measurements.
Process and analyze experimental data.
Implement numerical calculations to simulate bacterial behaviors.
Develop theoretical models to explain experimental or simulation results.
Assist in organizing the research lab and training members.
Job Requirements
PhD in biophysics, soft matter physics, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or related fields.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency in experimental techniques (e.g., microscopy, microfluidics, rheology) OR simulation methods (molecular dynamics, agent-based).
Strong soft skills, including visualization and presentation abilities.
Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
