The role focuses on developing solid-state, surface-based electrochemical sensors for real-time detection of solid-state analytes on skin and other complex surfaces, with application to wearable health monitoring technologies.

Responsibilities
Design and develop electrochemical sensing interfaces for fluid-free detection of solid-state analytes, including skin-emitted metabolites.
Engineer adhesive interfacial layers and hybrid materials to support stable, selective, and sensitive solid-surface chemo-sensing.
Integrate electrochemical systems with characterization methods (e.g., SEM, XPS, in-situ XRD) to study sensor performance and degradation mechanisms.
Contribute to system-level optimization of sensor signal quality and environmental stability.
Prepare research publications and progress reports; participate in interdisciplinary discussions with collaborators.
Maintain detailed experimental records and contribute to high-quality scientific publications and conference presentations.
Maintain lab equipment and supplies, including procurement and liaison with suppliers.
Assist in producing high-quality reports and documents that consolidate research findings; publish in high-impact journals and present at international conferences.
Contribute to mentoring and guidance of junior researchers and students within the project team.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related disciplines.
Strong experimental background in electrochemical system design, electrode/electrolyte interface engineering, and battery or sensor fabrication.
Experience in in-situ/ex-situ characterization techniques (e.g., SEM, Cryo-TEM, XPS, XRD).
Ability to design and fabricate device prototypes for innovative applications.
Strong track record of publications in high-impact journals.
Ability to conduct independent research while collaborating in a multidisciplinary environment.
