The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for a Research Fellow position to develop efficient theoretical, numerical, and experimental methods involving physics and data for investigating composite structures or fluid-structure interaction.
Key Responsibilities
Develop physics-enabled data-driven methodologies for fluids and structures.
Conduct numerical simulations and experiments on morphing wing structures and flexible bodies.
Innovate and seek technologies for potential applications.
Publish high-quality research articles to disseminate findings.
Manage projects and liaise with collaborators.
Provide regular updates and reports.
Job Requirements
Possess a recognized PhD in Mechanical, Environmental, Civil Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Materials, or related disciplines.
Strong theoretical and numerical skills.
Optional: Experimental skills in wind tunnels.
Optional: Experience with composite structure simulation, design, and manufacturing methods.
Proven track record of scientific publications.
Good interpersonal skills and teamwork awareness.
Strong sense of responsibility for research work.
