The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow to undertake a project to develop efficient theoretical, numerical and experimental methods encompassing physics and data for the investigation of composite structures or fluid-structure interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake theoretical development of physics-enabled data driven methodologies for fluids and structure
- Undertake and numerical simulations and experiments of morphing wing structures and flexible body
- Innovate and seek technologies for potential applications
- Publish quality research articles to disseminate study findings
- Undertake project administrations and liaison
- Provide regular updates and reports
Job Requirements:
- Possess a recognized PhD degree in Mechanical/Environmental/Civil engineering or Chemistry/Physics/Materials or related disciplines.
- Good theoretical and numerical skillsets
- Optional - Experimental skillsets in wind tunnels
- Optional – composite structure simulation, design and manufacturing methods
- Good track record in scientific publication
- Good interpersonal skills.
