Research Officer (Intelligent Digital and Molecular Pathology Lab, A*STAR BII)

We are recruiting an experienced full stack developer for the Intelligent Digital and Molecular Pathology (iDMP) at the A*STAR Bioinformatics Institute (BII) in Singapore.
Our iDMP team is dedicated to developing new solutions in the pathology field.
Currently, we are expanding our team and seeking enthusiastic talent to join us!
Self-motivated developer with a Master of Engineering (M.E.) or Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree, pursuing a career in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, and cloud-based software development.
Independent and passionate about clinical/biomedical imaging projects.
Good team player, capable of undertaking independent software development and AI algorithm projects under the guidance of the Principal Investigator (PI) and collaborating with other lab members.
Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field.
Good general knowledge and understanding of science and engineering principles.
Excellent scientific and technical writing skills, with strong communication capabilities.
Prior experience working with pathology imaging projects (industrial or academic), such as IHC imaging, H&E imaging, and multiplex immunofluorescence imaging, is a plus.
Specific technical requirements:
Strong experience and skills in two scientific programming languages: i.e., Matlab and Python.
Proficiency in both front-end and back-end development of cloud applications.
Experience with server-side languages such as Python, Java, and PHP.
Familiarity with database technologies like MySQL.
Logical and rigorous thinking in scientific and software development problems.
Basic understanding of image processing, machine learning, and AI is advantageous but not mandatory.
Basic knowledge of cell biology or pathology is a plus.
Ability to present research achievements at internal and external seminars and conferences is beneficial.
