The Job

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Resident Engineer (Geotechnical) to join our client's team for a major infrastructure development project in Singapore.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the supervision and execution of complex civil and geotechnical works, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance across all stages of construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise C&S site staff in accordance with instructions from CAG, QP(S), SRE, project consultants, and FUI owners.

  • Oversee and ensure proper implementation of geotechnical works such as cut-and-cover tunnels, deep excavations, ground improvements, foundation works, and installation and monitoring of instrumentation.

  • Inspect and monitor site activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, statutory codes, and safety standards.

  • Ensure accurate collation, analysis, and reporting of monitoring data and site progress.

  • Prepare and submit site inspection reports, progress reports, and documentation in accordance with project and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to site staff, promoting teamwork and high standards of performance.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure the timely resolution of site challenges.

  • Be available for shift work as required by the project schedule.

Ideal Candidate

  • You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in civil and/or geotechnical engineering, with at least 3 years in supervision/design of major infrastructure projects involving deep excavation, tunnelling, and geotechnical monitoring.

  • You possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil and Structural or Geotechnical Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB), Singapore.

  • Accreditation by the Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) of IES/ACES is mandatory.

  • You have strong knowledge of statutory codes, site supervision procedures, and quality control systems.

  • You possess proven leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage site teams effectively.

  • Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and safety.

  • You are willing to work shifts in accordance with project demands.
