Our client is an established conglomerate.
You will be part of the finance department responsible for revenue and direct cost accounting.
You will also be playing an active role in the implementation of IFRS 15 Revenue from contracts with customers and IFRS 16 Leases.
Revenue and direct costs
Review and ensure revenue and direct cost are recognised in accordance with accounting standardsDocument accounting positions, treatments, processes, workflow, internal controls and RACI (responsibility assignment matrix) on revenue and direct cost accountingDevelop revenue and direct cost recognition guidelines for compliance Work with project team on design and implementation of new system to support IFRS 15.
This includes setting of test scenarios, performing user acceptance test, tracking of errors and updating of standard operating procedures.Assist in design of reports for disclosure of revenue and cost commitments, contract assets and liabilities as required by IFRS 15 Leases
Review customer contracts which are subject to IFRS 16 Assist in the implementation of IFRS 16 and its documentation Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Accountancy or equivalent with 6 - 8 years experience in audit and accountingStrong working knowledge of IFRSs and its application Experience in ERP implementation and financial reporting systems as key user is an advantage High proficiency in Excel, Words, Power point and flow chartingSelf motivated, resourceful, meticulous, independent A good team player with strong interpersonal skills with the confidence and maturity to effectively work with different levels in the organizationAble to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
