As a RHE (Rear End Loader) Service Engineer report to the After Sales Manager / Head, you play a key role to provide technical support, maintenance, repair services for refuse collection equipment or vehicles.
This role requires good operational planning initiative for efficient deployment of resources, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction for our customer's waste management operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance at site or at workshop for refuse equipment (e.g. compactors, bin lifts, refuse collection vehicles)
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
- Prepare repair quotations and attend to customers 'enquires.
- Prepare reports/presentation to customer and track repair/warranty/parts status.
- Prepare permit to work documents and conduct safety inspections so as to ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentations.
- Provide technical training and support to technicians and monitoring of jobs for to meet all contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve repair lead time from time of customer reporting to completion of repair.
- Lead a team of technicians to provide good and timely service to our customers.
- Ensure adhere strictly to safety and regulations
- Proactively support after sales manager / heads for ad hoc assignments / duties.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Automotive, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Experience in servicing heavy-duty vehicles or refuse equipment.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with refuse vehicle brands and control systems (e.g., CAN bus, PLC).
- Experience in using OEM diagnostic tools and able to read technical drawings.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for service reporting, data analysis, and maintenance scheduling.
- Ability to work independently and travel to customer locations with exposure to waste handling equipment.
- Possess Class 3 driving license and preferably Class 4
- Willingness to travel within Singapore and work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime.
