About the Role
We’re looking for a Robotics Research Scientist who blends frontier research curiosity with engineering discipline.
You’ll work at the core of our research efforts, training state-of-the-art locomotion algorithms, integrating sensor arrays, processing large amounts of multi-modal data from our numerous robots.
Your research is meant to make an impact in the real world.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a highly interdisciplinary environment, understands how to explain their domain knowledge to an intelligent but uninformed audience.
Job scope
What You’ll Do
Apply state-of-the-art research to real-life applications
Invent solutions to novel challenges that arise from deploying robots outside a lab
Design hardware requirements in conjunction with research problems
You Should Have
Expertise in a domain related or transferable to robotics
The willingness to get your hands dirty with the difficult work of deploying your research
A curious mind and a passion for publishing good high impact research
Bonus Points For
Experience or Education in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Experience with TorchScript, ONNX, or custom inference runtimes
Contributions to PyTorch or open-source ML tooling
Experience working on transformer models, diffusion models, or large-scale vision/NLP tasks
Familiarity with the drawbacks and limitations of ROS/ROS2
A history of making deep contributions across varied disciplines
