Responsibilities:
- Oversee compliance with safety, health, environmental, and welfare standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Identify training requirements and design EHS training programs to enhance employee awareness regularly.
- Coordinate and prepare for internal and external audits, as well as maintain EHS documentation for ISO certifications (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001).
- Conduct thorough investigations of EHS incidents and accidents, ensuring effective closure of findings.
- Facilitate EHS inductions for contractors and visitors as necessary.
- Guide contractors and sub-contractors to ensure adherence to safety rules while performing their duties on-site.
- Prepare and submit safety reports monthly, as per site and regional requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments in line with the current Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA) and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Ensure all operations comply with Workplace Safety and Health/Environmental Control regulations.
- Conduct monthly WSH inspections alongside an external consultant and ensure follow-up on all inspection findings.
- Analyze safety gaps and improvements, providing statistics according to safety standards.
- Maintain the Emergency Response Plan as per SCDF requirements, including Fire Certificate renewals and CERT team structures.
- Address operational inquiries, needs, and complaints related to WSH findings in industrial buildings.
- Ensure fire safety equipment is compliant with regulatory standards.
- Support new customer inquiries, including requirements for new warehouse setups.
- Provide preventive and corrective technical support and maintenance for electrical and mechanical services, plumbing, air conditioning, and chillers.
- Assist with additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma or professional certification in Workplace Safety & Health.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience; possession of FSM certification and Biz Safety Level 2 is required, as the role involves multiple sites.
- Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer certification from the Ministry of Manpower is preferred.
- Hold a Work at Height Certificate as Assessor or Manager is preferred.
- Knowledge of local legislation, including WSH, SCDF, and NEA is advantageous.
