The Middle School MYP Coordinator at Stamford American International School works closely with the High School MYP Coordinator, the Director of Teaching and Learning, and other IB Coordinators.
The Coordinator maintains oversight of the academic elements of the Middle School, working alongside Middle School faculty to develop and implement units and assessments, while maintaining continuity and coherence in academic pathways throughout the school.
The Coordinator also collaborates with the Schoolwide Curriculum Team, the Middle School Principal, and the Middle School Leadership team, providing an MYP and Teaching and Learning perspective on the school’s planning and direction.
Major areas of responsibility include overall programme development, implementation of the Stamford Pedagogical Framework, curriculum oversight and coherence, and implementation and planning for professional development, including coaching and mentoring of teachers within the programme.
The MYP Coordinator may also have a teaching role.
