The Business Development & Sales Manager is a key leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and executing effective sales strategies, managing a team of sales professionals, and building strong relationships with clients and partners.
This role requires a highly motivated and experienced individual with a proven track record in sales management, business development, and team leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market
share.
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance
feedback.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners to foster long-term business
opportunities.
- Oversee the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification to negotiation and deal closure.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay abreast of industry
trends and competitor activities.
- Develop and maintain sales budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to track progress and identify areas
for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, product development) to ensure alignment
between sales strategies and overall business objectives.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to promote products/services
and build brand awareness.
- Stay informed about market dynamics, customer needs, and emerging technologies that could impact sales
strategies.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 6+ years of proven experience in sales and business development, with at least 2 years in a sales management role.
- Strong understanding of bespoke software development and IT solutions.
- Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies, managing sales budgets, and forecasting sales performance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build rapport, negotiate effectively, and close deals with clients.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office.
