This position reports directly to the Head of Sales and plays a pivotal role in driving the company's growth in equipment and system sales.
The successful candidate will identify emerging market opportunities, develop long-term sales strategies, cultivate key client relationships, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
The role also involves analysing industry trends, setting measurable targets, and maintaining a competitive market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Build a deep understanding of local and international regulations relevant to the company's product and service offerings.
- Strengthen the company's presence among end users, decision-makers, and influencers across global marine and offshore markets.
- Identify and cultivate potential accounts that align with the company's solutions and can evolve into long-term strategic partners.
- Drive high conversion rates by leveraging relationships with clients and stakeholders to unlock new opportunities.
- Develop, implement, and refine sales and marketing strategies with a focus on targeted market segments and growth channels.
- Lead initiatives to achieve the company's annual revenue and growth objectives, including forecasting and budgeting activities.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to support business planning and decision-making.
- Oversee all business development and marketing activities to achieve sustainable and profitable expansion.
- Plan and execute sales forecasts, budgets, and operational plans to achieve defined goals.
- Build and expand the company's network within the marine and offshore industry to identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Champion the continuous improvement of products and services by incorporating customer feedback and market insights.
- Provide timely and accurate responses to customer enquiries, ensuring technical and commercial satisfaction.
- Conduct customer satisfaction and market feedback surveys to enhance sales techniques and after-sales service quality.
- Prepare concise weekly and monthly performance reports for management review.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, ideally in Marine, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical disciplines.
- 7–10 years of proven sales experience in the marine or related engineering sectors, ideally involving capital or technical equipment.
- Excellent communication and networking skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong business acumen with a results-oriented mindset and the persistence to achieve ambitious targets.
- Hands-on approach to collaborating across teams including sales, account management, marketing, and product development.
- Willingness to travel as required for business development activities.
- Possession of a valid driving license and own transport will be advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
