Job Description
- Responsible for maintaining current sources and generating new sources of scrap metals from the local market
- Maintain good business contacts and favourable relations with current customers (scrap dealers and industrial suppliers)
- Gather appropriate information about the local market for scrap metal concerning cost trends and availability of supply
- Visit customer sites for material viewing, provide quotations etc.
- Prepare Monthly Sales Report, monitor tonnages, pricing etc.
- Any other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Strong cold calling skills
- Strong follow-up skills
- Excellent oral communication skills.
Able to communicate at all levels of the organization verbally and written - Able to speak different dialects (in order to maintain good business contacts and favourable relations with current dialects speaking customers (scrap dealers and industrial suppliers)
- Possess own transport
- Candidate must possess at least a Nitec in Business Administration/Customer Service/Diploma in sales or marketing or the equivalent in related work experience
- Demonstrate buying experience in scrap recycling or metal related industry
- Minimum 2 years of new business development sales experience required
Working hours
Mon to Fri – 8.30am to 5.30pm (5 days work week)
