SAP Tech Lead (ABAP/BASIS)

**About the Role:**

VF Corporation is seeking an exceptional SAP Technical Lead to join our SAP ERP team in Shanghai, China.

This role is pivotal to our SAP S/4 Transformation program in the APAC region, which aims to enhance flexibility, improve customer services, and reduce complexity by implementing industry best practices and adopting the SAP clean core strategy.

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ **Lead SAP Basis and Development Teams:** Oversee the implementation of the new S/4 solution, managing both internal and external resources in technical areas including Basis administration and Development.
+ **Adopt Best Practices:** Promote the adoption of best practices and coding standards to adhere to the SAP Clean Core strategy.
+ **Collaboration:** Collaborate with functional teams, solution architects, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

**Specific Duties:**

+ Oversee the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of the SAP landscape (S/4, CAR, SLT, MDG, BODS, GTS, GRC) including configuration, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting of the SAP technical environment.

Manage the SAP transport system, optimize performance, and design the architecture of the landscape.
+ Lead the design, development, and implementation of SAP applications, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
+ Collaborate with functional analysts, solution architects, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
+ Architect and develop complex programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and Fiori apps to meet business needs and optimize system performance.
+ Perform code reviews and provide guidance to other developers to ensure adherence to guidelines.
+ Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to ABAP programs, SAP modules, and system integrations.
+ Collaborate with functional and technical teams to design and develop optimal and scalable solutions for data migrations, system upgrades, and enhancements.
+ Create and maintain technical documentation, including technical designs, program codes, and user manuals.
+ Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies, ABAP development trends, and industry best practices, and provide recommendations for system improvements and optimizations.

**Qualifications:**

+ **Education** : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related area preferred, or equivalent work experience.
+ **Experience** : 10+ years of experience with SAP, with deep knowledge of development technologies (ABAP, object-oriented ABAP, OData services, APIs, HANA scripting) and platforms (ABAP stack, Fiori, BTP, HANA studio).

Experience with mixed model delivery (Onshore/Offshore) is required.
+ **Skills** : Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure and time constraints.

Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills are required.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex business requirements and propose innovative technical solutions.
+ **Audit Controls:** Manage and satisfy SAP audit controls and pertinent SOX program requirements.
+ **Hands-on Experience:** Hands-on experience with SAP S/4, CAR, SLT, MDG, BODS, GTS, GRC
+ **Self-Starter** : Must be a self-starter, able to work independently with a proactive working style.
+ **Communication** : Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance to other developers.
+ **Language** : Professional English (written and spoken) is a must.

**Special Requirements:**

+ **Travel:** Travel by air and overnight, as required (20% of the time).
