Job Objectives
The Customs Manager will provide direction and lead our Asian & Middle Eastern Customs practice to ensure compliance with all Asian and the Middle Eastern customs regulations
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee robust Compliance Programs & Methods frameworks to ensure we meet all customs regulations
- Lead improvement initiatives to optimize our customs processes and systems for greater efficiency
- Defines regulatory requirements and monitor broker compliance while Operations ensure our customs brokers consistently adhere to them and Satair's high standards
- Provide direction cross functionally, including our supply chain colleagues, to ensure our company’s compliance with customs regulations and training requirements
- Lead the implementation of the central team’s import export customs compliance program
- Ensure correct import/export customs classifications & record-keep, & regular trainings on customs topics to ensure continued compliance with customs regulations and company compliance programs
- Implement an effective entry review and post audit program
- Identify early warning alerts and mitigate trade compliance and financial risks and lead and work closely with other stakeholders on customs compliance related topics
- Drive proactive planning on all custom compliance activities & integrate with logistics & operations
- Support and ensure completions of investigating compliance problems, questions or complaints
- Serve as a regional focal point to implement and ensure continuous alignment of customs policies & related workflows, directives, guidelines and requirements consistent with those in the customs teams in Europe and America, and those issued by the Corporate office

Flexible to rotate so that the department is always manned within the company’s opening hours
Develop business workflows to optimal efficiencies
Carry out any other duties as and when required by the HO Finance Asia
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years of international trade compliance experience.
Robust customs compliance knowledge
Experience in operational systems such as SAP, customs clearance within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of Asian governmental regulations pertaining to customs clearance & logistics
Knowledge of the Middle Eastern customs regulations is preferred
