School-Based Intervention (Youth Worker)
Contract Period:
- Start Date: 15 September 2025 or after the issuance of LOA (whichever is later)
- End Date: 14 September 2026 (or adjusted according to actual start date, with option to extend)
Location: Marsiling Road, Singapore
Working Hours
- Full-time role during school operating hours (details to be provided by school).
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays unless otherwise stated.
Scope of Services
The School-Based Intervention (Youth Worker) will play a critical role in supporting at-risk students and maintaining a positive school environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor, manage, and educate students serving in-house suspension.
- Support students under the reintegration programme for smoother transition back to school routines.
- Manage students sent out of class for time-out, guiding them through restorative practices and teachable moments.
- Implement targeted Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) skill-building modules with selected students during TSR and CCE periods.
- Design, develop, and produce SEL skill-building modules to support student growth.
- Provide additional support in high-needs classes and assist in other school-wide student management initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must come from a former uniformed service background (e.g., police, prison service).
- Minimum 5 years of experience working directly with at-risk youth in educational, community, or correctional settings.
- Demonstrated passion for youth development and a strong belief in the potential of at-risk students.
- Strong interpersonal, mentoring, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to implement restorative practices and create a supportive environment for students.
- Resilient, empathetic, and able to work effectively in a school-based environment.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: Up to $3,000.00 per month
Experience:
- working directly with at-risk youth in educational: 5 years (Preferred)
