Scientist, Laboratory of Regulatory Translatomics and RNA Signaling (GIS)
The Vasudevan lab , at Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS) A*STAR, conducts cutting-edge research on post-transcriptional regulation in refractory cancers and develops RNA therapeutics.
The lab collaborates with academia, clinical groups, and industries, to combine their RNA mechanistic studies with AI and therapeutic platforms to target cancer and other disease.
The lab is seeking motivated postdoctoral Fellowsto study 3 projects:
- Ribosome and translation mechanisms changes in the tumour microenvironment
- CircRNA functional analysis in cells and extracellular vesicles in refractory cancers
- RNA therapeutic development
Experience in cell and molecular biology, RNA profiling and cell culture techniques would be needed.
Expertise with immune cells and immune analysis is especially appreciated, or with primary cells including patient samples, organoids or in vivo models, or with multi-omic informatic analysis.
The candidates will work on their individual projects with the PI and the team, and with industry and academic collaborators to perform RNA and cancer investigations, develop new assays and therapeutics, develop and perform profiling assays, and assist in the day-to-day operation of the lab.
