The PROFESS Lab is looking to hire a research scientist in the area of organic optoelectronics ?
in particular for optical spectroscopic characterization of materials, device fabrication and device physics.
The project is funded by a grant awarded to the Principal Investigator (Dr. Le Yang)
We are looking for a passionate and capable individual to work on organic optoelectronics photophysics and devices:
Be able to help setup and fine-tune transient and steady-state spectroscopic characterization tools Regularly perform spectroscopic characterization and analysis.
Regularly prepare samples in wet lab (solutions and thin films); be familiar with common chemicals.
Regular use of glovebox is required.
Organic optoelectronic device fabrication and optimization, including device characterization and device physic Be motivated for intellectual output eg publications and idea generation.Be a team player and foster cohesive and collaborative environmentBe able to supervise short-term attachment students at time.Job Requirements:
·Ph.D in Physics (including polymer chemistry/physics) or Materials Science and Engineering, or equivalent/related fields.
Optical spectroscopy and studying of material photophysics Good understanding of organic semiconductors and optoelectronics.
Good with detailed hands-on work in wet-lab, eg use of glovebox on a daily basis.
Basic knowledge of organic semiconductors.
