Job Responsibilities:
Developing and Implementing Supply Chain Strategies: Define and implement supply chain strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.Develop initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
Procurement and Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and reliability of supply.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage procurement activities to ensure cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.
Inventory Management: Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce carrying costs, and minimize stockouts.
Use demand forecasting techniques to predict future inventory needs and align supply with demand.
Logistics and Distribution: Oversee logistics planning and operations to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
Manage the distribution network to ensure efficient and reliable delivery of products to customers.
Performance Metrics and Measurement: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track supply chain performance.
Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms to monitor KPIs, analyze performance trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Cost Management: Identify opportunities to reduce supply chain costs through process improvements, strategic sourcing, and efficient logistics management.
Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while meeting service level requirements.
Risk Management: Identify supply chain risks and vulnerabilities, such as supply disruptions, quality issues, and geopolitical factors.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of potential supply chain disruptions.
Technology and Systems Integration: Evaluate and implement supply chain technologies, such as ERP systems, to improve efficiency and visibility across the supply chain.
Ensure seamless integration of supply chain systems with other business functions to enable real-time data sharing and collaboration.
Compliance and Sustainability: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including import/export regulations and industry-specific requirements.
Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of supply chain operations.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead, coach, and develop the supply chain team to build a high-performing and motivated workforce.
Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of supply chain personnel.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in supply chain processes through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to drive efficiency and effectiveness in supply chain operations.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other departments, such as production, quality, and engineering, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Communicate supply chain plans, progress, and performance to senior management and other stakeholders.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
Negotiate contracts, oversee service level agreements (SLAs), and ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
Budget Management: Manage the supply chain budget, including forecasting costs, monitoring expenditures, and finding cost-effective solutions.
Ensure supply chain activities are performed within budget constraints.
Innovation and Technology Adoption: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in supply chain management.
Identify opportunities for innovation and recommend new technologies that can enhance supply chain operations and competitiveness.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the company can quickly recover from supply chain-related disruptions.
Jobs Requirements:
Educational Background: Diploma or bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, logistics, planning, or engineering
Experience in Planning Control: Proven experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within a manufacturing setting.
Experience in managing quality control processes and teams in small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is advantageous.
Knowledge of Forecast/Planning Standards: Strong understanding of planning and scheduling systems, standards, and methodologies.
Familiarity with relevant regulations and certifications specific to the manufacturing industry is essential.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical skills to interpret forecast and planning data, identify root causes of defects, and implement effective solutions.
Proficiency in using planning analysis tools and software.
Communication and Leadership Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively convey forecast & planning issues, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and present findings to senior management.
