Dover Court International School, Singapore, established in 1972, is a leading inclusive international school with British heritage.

The school serves a diverse student population aged 3 to 18 and offers a range of programmes across Early Years, Primary, and Secondary, including Reggio Emilia-inspired approaches, the English National Curriculum, the International Primary Curriculum, IGCSE/GCSE, IB Diploma Programme, and BTEC qualifications.

The school emphasises inclusion, professional learning, and a vibrant co-curricular programme, with strong participation in local and international sporting events.


Job Description
We seek an inspirational teacher to teach PE Years 7 to 13.

Our sport facilities include two sports halls, a 9-a-side floodlit 3G pitch, a multipurpose outdoor court and a 20m pool, shared across the Primary and Secondary school.

We offer a contextualised English National Curriculum in Years 7 and 8, Edexcel GCSE PE for Years 9–11, and IB DP Sports Exercise and Health Science (SEHS).

GCSE PE and SEHS are popular option choices, and experience teaching these programmes is highly desirable.


Excellence in teaching and learning and a commitment to contributing to our thriving sports programme are crucial for this role.

We are active members of FOBISIA and ACSIS, with strong student participation in Wolves sports teams, participation in the annual FOBISIA Games and invitational tournaments, and the recent introduction of the UK Sport Leaders Award at multiple levels.

We are particularly interested in candidates with basketball and volleyball expertise.


The successful candidate will be passionate about high-quality teaching and learning in an inclusive school and committed to making a difference in the lives of young people.

They will be a reflective practitioner and effective collaborator, contributing to our pastoral care, well-being programme, and co-curricular activities to support our vibrant community.


Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality PE teaching to students in Years 7–13.


Contribute to the school’s thriving sports programme and co-curricular activities.


Support inclusivity and provide appropriate challenge to all learners.


Collaborate with colleagues to plan and assess learning, and participate in school events.


Engage with FOBISIA/ACSIS activities and promote participation in school sport.


Qualifications and Experience
Experience teaching GCSE PE and IB DP SEHS or equivalent programmes is highly desirable.


Basketball and volleyball expertise is particularly valued.


Demonstrated commitment to inclusive education and reflective practice.


Ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic, international school community.
