SUMMARY OF THE ASSIGNED DUTIES, INCLUDING GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE POST
Within the Executive Directorate Police Services (EDPS), the Cybercrime Directorate (CD) has a mandate to reduce the global impact of cybercrime and protect communities for a safer world.
To achieve this, CD has four main objectives:
The Head of the Cybercrime Operations Unit is responsible for managing the global operational response of INTERPOL's Cybercrime Directorate, aligned to the objectives of the Global Cybercrime Programme.
The post holder will develop and implement strategies, procedures and systems that underpin INTERPOL's operations against cybercrime, focused on global initiatives in line with the objectives and priorities, in order to deliver the agreed outcomes.
The post holder will also be responsible for leading any other activity at a global level to prevent, detect, investigate and disrupt cybercrime effectively, such as global awareness campaigns.
The post holder will ensure the management and assessment of the highest cybercrime threats that cause the greatest harm and impact on communities, being accountable for the conduct of the operations and staff/resources within the unit.
