Role Overview
The accountant is responsible for preparing and managing consolidated financial statements across multiple entities within a group.
This role ensures accurate intercompany accounting, compliance with financial regulations, and supports strategic financial planning
Key Responsibilities
Financial Consolidation
- Prepare semi-annual interim condensed consolidated financial statements
- Prepare annual consolidated financial statements
- Ensure accuracy of intercompany transactions and eliminations
- Maintain supporting schedules and disclosure notes
Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate and manage external audits
- Address audit findings and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS)
Reporting & Analysis
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making
- Track budget performance and ensure accurate cost allocation into the different segments
- Support forecasting and budgeting activities
Process Improvement
- Implement internal controls to prevent fraud and errors
- Contribute to system enhancements and process optimization
- Support strategic planning initiatives
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Liaise with regional finance teams, tax agents and government authorities
- Review regional submissions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with ERP accounting software preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
