Role Summary And Impact
This role will directly contribute to regional growth in APAC, aligning with our global strategy of innovation and excellence.

In this role, you will take an active part in the commercial management of international multi-market clients to help build long-term profitable relationships.

You will provide commercial guidance to our Client teams and manage the performance of our contractual rights and obligations to build strong, transparent partnerships with Clients to ensure profitability and sustainability of our engagements over time.

The role requires constant communication with clients and internal stakeholders.

You will also work to expand, preserve, or improve the Company’s compliance with Client contract terms, procedures, standards or policies while adhering to business edicts and regulatory guidelines.


Responsibilities Of The Role
In 3 months
Be conversant with WPP Media Commercial and Client contract related policies
Establish initial contacts with market and regional commercial and client stakeholders
Be familiar with market practice and establish relationships with key stakeholders
Read and understand all (assigned) Client contract terms and obligations
Develop understanding of control and compliance for key client contracts
Establish connections and relationships with Global Commercial Client teams
Understand WPP Media Trading products, Digital operations & WPP Media Services
Implement reporting timetable in coordination with Global Commercial team and compile/submit reports to Clients and internal stakeholders
Prepare client commercial reports
Generate monthly financial and management reports as needed
Communicate financial performance and net working capital, identifying risk and opportunities related to client activity
In six months
Contribute to regional commercial activities, including supporting markets regional consolidation and controls
Educate and advise local markets and Clients teams to develop a Commercial mindset
Propose ideas to maximize profitability of services and products to Clients in strict compliance with contract terms
Build relationships and ensure regular connections with Client procurement teams
Maintain client contracts and key terms, including timely renewals and guidance in drafting new contracts
Support markets with client compliance audits
Coordinate market/regional commercial activities related to the performance of assigned Client contracts
Support debt management (credit insurance in place), payment issues, and disputes
Understand market forecasts for all components of Net Sales and explain movements vs forecasts and prior year
In 12 Months
Lead Commercial and Client contract activities, reporting, renewal, updates, incentives and audits for all assigned Clients
Work closely with procurement teams and brief local markets to proactively build and strengthen client/procurement relationships
Understand contributors to market revenue generation, growth levers and profitability
Establish regular reviews of Client profitability and provide recommendations to markets
Identify opportunities for revenue streams and manage scope of work and service levels for various remuneration models
Skills And Experience
6 to 8 years of experience with a proven commercial background in client contracting and negotiations
Strong commercial acumen in Finance and/or Legal
Ability to lead and deliver results in a highly motivated, demanding environment
Strong analytical skills with proven ability to interpret performance trends and take proactive action
Good regional experience working across countries and teams
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with finance and non-finance stakeholders across cultures
Sharp, action-oriented and able to sell ideas convincingly
Operational/commercial experience with the ability to add value and facilitate change
Highly self-motivated, flexible and proactive; takes ownership
Financial and client commercial management in an advertising environment is a plus
Experience influencing senior management and working in a fast-paced business
