They are seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer with deep domain expertise in energy trading and a strong technical background to join their growing team in Singapore.
As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring seamless operation of key trading platforms, collaborating closely with internal teams and external vendors, and providing solutions that deliver tangible business impact.
You’ll work within a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and excellent communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support for commodity trading and live position applications during trading hours.
- Oversee CTRM platforms and related upstream/downstream systems, ensuring smooth intraday and end-of-day operations.
- Monitor system availability, conduct root-cause analysis, and apply corrective actions when required.
- Manage tickets, prioritise issues, and work with service desks to ensure swift resolution.
- Collaborate with end users, internal stakeholders, and external vendors to manage incidents, communicate progress, and coordinate planned changes.
- Support global colleagues across multiple regions and time zones.
Key Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in the IT industry, with at least 5 years in the energy trading domain.
- Strong functional knowledge of OpenLink Endur (APAC, EU & NA Gas and Power).
- Understanding of front, middle, and back office processes, including trade capture, risk management, invoicing, confirmations, and end-of-day batch operations.
- Solid knowledge of North American Gas and Power trade lifecycle.
- Strong expertise supporting CTRM applications and business workflows across trading and operations.
- Familiarity with Risk, P&L and P&L attribution.
- Programming proficiency (Java, .Net, or similar); OpenJVS experience is a plus.
- Database knowledge, including SQL scripting and troubleshooting.
- Ability to collaborate with global teams, with a proactive, motivated approach and a willingness to learn new systems.
