Senior Assistant Director / Assistant Director (Human Potential Programme Office), Biomedical Research Council
The Human Potential Programme Office in BMRC is responsible for supporting the Human Potential Steering Committee, overseeing and managing Early Life and Adolescence Research, and working with other Human Potential agencies in the ecosystem to coordinate research and intervention projects in the human potential space.
We are looking for a highly independent and motivated person to join Human Potential Programme Office to perform the following:
Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee the full lifecycle of grant calls, from coordination and administration to liaising with governing bodies for the review and assessment of proposals, ensuring alignment with the intended outcomes of the grant calls in Early Life and Adolescence Research
Oversee the Human Potential Programme Office in providing secretariat support to the Human Potential Steering Committee
Coordinate the secretariat support to the Human Potential Steering Committee as overall coordinating lead and ensure KPIs and deliverables are tracked, reported and coordinated across the whole Human Potential programme
Coordinate and oversee support to programme Executive Committees
Engage with stakeholders in the Human Potential ecosystem including Government, IHLs and private sectors to synergise research and intervention efforts
Qualifications
Educational background in the life sciences, biotechnology or a related discipline is preferred, though not essential for candidates with strong relevant experience.
Minimum of 6 years' working experience, ideally with exposure to public sector processes, particularly in grants management, policy coordination, or secretariat support.
Demonstrated interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate and negotiate effectively across diverse stakeholders in government, academia, and industry.
A self-driven and proactive problem-solver, able to work independently to deliver outcomes, manage competing priorities, and coordinate across the Human Potential ecosystem.
Outstanding writing, communication, and presentation skills.
