The hire will be the College’s central touchpoint for building and sustaining partnerships with companies, alumni, and external stakeholders to strengthen the College’s industry linkages and to enhance student employability.
Working closely with College faculty, University’s Career & Attachment Office (CAO) and the College’s Alumni Engagement team, the hire will identify and secure opportunities for student internships, industry attachments, and industry Final Year Projects (FYP).
The hire will also lead outreach and marketing efforts for the recently launched Work-Study Degree (WSDeg) Programme to attract more students and boost enrolment numbers.The role is both strategic and operational: the successful candidate will drive business development for the College’s Undergraduate and WSDeg Programmes, while also provide hands-on support in programme coordination, execution, and event logistics for career-related events, working through existing student clubs to leverage their networks for outreach and participation.
The ultimate outcome of this role is to deliver measurable growth in industry partnerships, student employability, programme development, and the College’s reputation with employers and alumni.**Responsibilities****Business Development and Industry Partnerships*** Lead business development for the College’s Undergraduate and Work-Study Degree (WSDeg) Programmes by securing new company partners and sustaining long-term relationships.* Proactively identify and engage industry partners to expand opportunities for internships, career placements, student projects, and collaborative initiatives.* Work with CAO and the College’s Alumni Engagement team to leverage existing networks, resources, and leads for partnership growth.* Negotiate and formalize partnership agreements in alignment with university policies.* Lead the outreach and marketing efforts for the WSDeg Programme to attract students and ensure healthy enrolment numbers.**Programme and Event Coordination*** Plan, coordinate, and execute career-related events including industry talks, employer/alumni visits, networking sessions, and workshops.* Provide logistical and administrative support for on-campus industry engagement activities.* Maintain an updated pipeline of events and opportunities for dissemination through the College’s publicity team and digital channels.**Internal Partnerships and Student Engagement*** Partner with the Alumni Engagement team to involve alumni as mentors, speakers, and industry connectors.* Collaborate with Student Affairs Team and student clubs to mobilize student support in employer engagement activities, competitions, and skill-building workshops.* Work with the Corporate Communications Office to produce engaging and impactful outreach materials while complying with NTU policies.* Identify and maintain a collation of success stories to strengthen the College’s visibility and reputation with employers and alumni.**Tracking and Outcomes*** Track employer partnerships, student participation, and placement outcomes to monitor effectiveness.* Provide regular reports on engagement indicators such as partnership growth, internship placement rates, student satisfaction, and employer feedback.**Team Management and Development*** Lead both the Internship and WSDeg Programme administration teams i.e. overseeing backend operations including students’ internship placements, curriculum planning etc.* Develop purpose-driven, high-performance and cohesive teams.
Provide mentorship to team members as and when necessary.**Requirements*** Bachelor’s degree with 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in business development, corporate partnerships, or career services, preferably in an educational institution.* Proven ability to engage and secure industry partners, with a strong record of delivering measurable partnership growth or placements.* Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, able to engage stakeholders at all levels (students, faculty, alumni, employers).* Experience in event coordination, project management, and publicity/outreach.* Proactive, resourceful, adaptable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with central university offices and other offices within the college.* Proven team supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to lead and develop staff.* IT proficiency with MS Office applications, database management systems, and strong Excel skills.* Ability to manage high-stress situations and multiple competing priorities effectively.We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.Hiring Institution: NTUNTU is also home to world-class autonomous institutes – the National Institute of Education, S Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Earth Observatory of Singapore, and Singapore Centre for Environmental Life Sciences Engineering – and various leading research centres such as the Nanyang Environment & Water Research Institute (NEWRI) and Energy Research Institute @ NTU ( ).Ranked amongst the world’s top universities by QS, NTU has also been named the world’s top young university for the past seven years.
