Reporting to the Centre Manager at the NTU Centre in Computational Technologies for Finance (CCTF), the Senior Assistant Manager / Assistant Manager will lead and manage the full spectrum of operational, financial, and administrative functions related to the Centre's professional training programmes.
The incumbent will play a key role in ensuring seamless programme delivery, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory compliance, while contributing to the strategic development and long-term sustainability of the Centre's training portfolio.
This role requires a proactive and resourceful individual with strong coordination, analytical, and project management skills, capable of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities:
Programme Development & Strategic Execution
- Lead the design and development of training programmes aligned with industry needs and organisational goals.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis and stakeholder engagement to identify emerging trends and learning gaps.
- Drive the end-to-end programme lifecycle – from conceptualisation to evaluation – working closely with academic and industry experts.
- Propose new training initiatives and strategic partnerships to expand the Centre's outreach and impact.
Business Development & Stakeholder Management
- Develop and implement strategic outreach plans to grow and diversify the Centre's customer base (corporate partners, government agencies, and professionals).
- Build and maintain high-trust relationships with key stakeholders, including C-suite clients, faculty, and external collaborators.
- Represent the Centre in internal and external engagements to promote the value and impact of our training programmes.
- Drive customer satisfaction and retention through proactive communication and after-programme engagement.
Programme Operations & Team Coordination
- Oversee the full operational management of training delivery – including scheduling, logistics, resource planning, and on-site execution.
- Supervise junior officers and interns, providing guidance and performance feedback to ensure operational excellence.
- Lead cross-functional coordination with trainers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth programme delivery.
- Manage crisis resolution and troubleshooting during programme execution.
Financial Planning & Budget Oversight
- Prepare and oversee detailed programme budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost-efficiency.
- Track revenue targets and perform variance analysis to support Centre's financial sustainability goals.
- Liaise with Finance on invoicing, vendor payments, and grants or fund utilisation, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
Governance, Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all training activities comply with NTU's policies, funding requirements, and relevant legal/regulatory frameworks.
- Champion data protection and uphold PDPA and privacy regulations in all programme operations.
- Implement and continually refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for quality consistency.
- Use data analytics and participant feedback to drive continuous improvement in programme design and delivery.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, with substantial experience in programme management, business development, or related fields.
Relevant work experience in similar environments will be an advantage.
