Key Responsibilities
Champion the end-to-end contracting and procurement lifecycle for capital expenditure and professional services, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and governance standards.
Lead complex contract negotiations, driving favorable outcomes on pricing, terms, and commercial conditions to protect business interests.
Collaborate closely with Legal, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams to shape robust contracting strategies and frameworks that support long-term business objectives.
Direct the preparation and issuance of Invitation to Tender documents for major infrastructure works and other high-value project initiatives.
Establish rigorous pre-qualification criteria and oversee the selection of capable Contractors, Consultants, and Advisors to ensure engagement with high-performing partners.
Spearhead the development and issuance of Request for Proposal documentation for technical studies, feasibility assessments, and advisory services across multiple functional disciplines.
Drive the evaluation of tender and proposal submissions, including defining assessment methodologies, managing review processes, and presenting clear recommendations to key decision-makers.
Lead commercial clarification discussions and participate in technical meetings to resolve contractual and operational ambiguities before final award.
Provide strategic oversight on post-award contract management to ensure performance delivery, compliance with terms, financial control, variation handling, and effective claims management.
Establish governance standards, best practices, and structured processes for contract administration to enhance operational consistency and mitigate risks.
Oversee contract close-out activities, including performance evaluation of Contractors, Consultants, and Advisors, ensuring key learnings are captured and applied to future procurement strategies.
Maintain comprehensive and secure contract documentation, including registers, archives, and audit trails, to ensure transparency and traceability.
Act as a trusted advisor to leadership and project teams on strategic contract management matters, offering commercial insights and risk mitigation strategies.
Prepare and deliver executive-level reports and presentations on contract performance, compliance, and key performance indicators to inform strategic decision-making.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering related discipline
Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience in contracts management in Oil & Gas or Energy industry
Candidates experienced in handling tenders, especially of high-scale projects will be preferred.
Strong knowledge of contracts, especially for EPC projects.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in people-management will be valued.
