We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect Consultant to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, data modeling, and database design, along with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

This role involves working closely with clients to understand their data needs, designing robust data solutions, and ensuring the efficient operation of data systems.



Key Responsibilities:



• Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze their data requirements and business objectives.

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data architectures that support business needs

• Develop and maintain data models, database schemas, and data integration workflows

• Ensure data quality, data governance, and alignment to regulatory standards

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to data engineering teams.

• Balance models that optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing performance vs solution implementation constraints

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in data architecture and related technologies.

• Conduct data architecture reviews and audits to ensure best practices are followed.

Prepare and present technical documentation, reports, and proposals to clients and stakeholders.



**Requirements:**



+ 10+ years of experience in a consulting role as a technical specialist, architect, or developer

+ Proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or similar role

+ Experience with data modeling tools and techniques

+ Strong understanding of data governance and data quality management

+ Proficiency in data integration and ETL processes

+ Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

+ In-depth knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL)

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

+ The ability to train and participate in the professional development of Huron technical staff

+ The ability to contribute on multiple projects of differing scale and duration

+ Huron requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to this position or equivalent work experience

+ Willingness to travel up to 50%



**Preferences:**



+ Experience in an Enterprise Architecture capacity, particularly in modeling business process and supporting data models

+ Knowledge of data security and privacy best practices

+ Certification in data architecture or related fields

+ Experience in developing data strategies and roadmaps

+ Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts.
