Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and test electrical systems, components, and equipment using electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB, SolidWorks etc.).
• Technical lead for selected projects; lead a team of electrical/mechanical/network engineers in project design and delivery.
• Select and program PLCs and microcontrollers, design controls for electromechanical actuators, develop and program HMI.
• Conduct detailed analysis and simulation of electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and safety.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
Document designs, processes, and system specifications clearly and accurately.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems into larger system/projects.
• Problem solving, troubleshooting of System and/or Sub System equipment faults, proposing modifications of System and/or Sub System.
• Evaluate and select electrical components based on performance, cost, and sustainability.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations such as electrical safety standards and regulations.
(SS638, SS555 etc.)
• Perform system validation, including testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Liaising with LEW for endorsements of designs and single line diagrams.
Requirements
• Knowledge in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in Electrical Engineering and leading a team as a Project Manager, Supervisor or Technical Lead.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuit theory, and power distribution and a passion for designing electromechanical systems for both in the military as well as in the commercial field.
• Experience working with transformers, electromechanical actuators, PLCs, microcontrollers is a plus.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464 is a plus.
• Experience in PLC and HMI programming (Siemens, COMFILE Technology etc.) is desirable.
• Familiarity with SNMP or BACNET is a plus.
• Familiarity with ROS 2.0 is a plus.
