Job Summary
We are currently looking for motivated individuals to join Micron Technology Inc.
Central Engineering (CE) - Product Yield Enhancement (PYE) Engineering Team.
As CE PYE Failure Analysis (FA) Engineer for Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for providing full fault isolation and failure analysis support for qualifications, customer returns, new device introduction, and test failures.
You will become the subject matter expert on fault isolation and physical failure analysis methods.
As the CE PYE FA Engineer, you will be responsible for understanding all relevant methodologies to isolate electrical failures by working closely with Product Engineering Teams.
You will also have a thorough understanding of the product architecture, process flow, and test sequence to work with Process Integration, Product, Test, and Quality Reliability Assurance Engineering groups ensuring physical defects are root-caused and classified.
Responsibilities:
Perform sophisticated electrical device characterization to determine electrical fail mechanismsOperate fault isolation equipment to accurately narrow down failure defect locationsConduct physical failure analysis to identify and classify physical defectsEstablish and hypothesize potential electrical or process fail mechanisms based on detailed electrical fail models and physical failure analysis characterization, supporting process improvementCollaborate closely with a diverse range of collaborators, including teams from frontend to backend and the Global Quality (GQ) department, to address and resolve defectivity issuesPrepare and present comprehensive electrical and physical failure mechanisms on a weekly basis to drive continuous improvementDevelop and implement new fault isolation and physical failure analysis techniques to stay ahead of industry standardsLead and guide a team of CE PYE technicians, encouraging a collaborative and ambitious work environmentCoordinate the maintenance and high uptime of fault isolation and physical failure analysis tools to ensure world-class operational efficiencyRequirements:
Bachelor's or equivalent experience, Master's or equivalent experience, or PhD degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Material ScienceProven experience as a great team player with outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills and a strong drive to excelExcellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information effectively in large meetingsHighly motivated individuals with a passion for innovation and excellenceKnowledge of fault isolation equipment, techniques, and physical failure analysis is a significant advantageStrong understanding of NAND/DRAM/HBM devices and knowledge of Fab processes is a desirable assetAbility to support shift rotation as required to meet operational needs
