Job description:
Responsibilities
- Work closely with process, mechanical, civil, and electrical teams to ensure piping systems are integrated seamlessly with other systems
- Coordinate with procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure timely delivery and installation of piping systems
- Prepare piping-related project deliverables including technical drawings, specifications, data sheets, and material take-offs
- Liaise with suppliers for quotation and technical evaluation of quotation.
Review and approve piping construction drawings, isometrics, and support drawings - Lead piping design reviews, coordination meetings, and vendor technical discussions
- Manage piping engineering scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring project milestones are met
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical / Piping Engineering
- For degree holder, minimum 5 years of experience in piping design and engineering.
For Diploma holder, minimum 8 years of experience is required.
- For senior position, candidate must have at least 10 years of experience, including leadership or project management experience.
- Strong expertise in piping materials, piping arrangement, stress analysis, and design of piping systems
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision, make sound decisions, take independent action, and provide focused solutions to assigned projects
- Possess strong inter-personal and communication skills and be able to work well with people at all levels in the organization
- Knowledge of international and local standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI, BS EN, PUB Singapore guidelines)
- Must have advanced computer literacy in commonly usedsoftware applications such as Navisworks, Bentley View, AutoCAD, piping engineering software, and MS Office
- Experience in process plant (such as wastewater treatment plant, sludge incineration plant, etc.) is preferred
