Key Responsibilities
Serve as SPOC for all piping-related coordination with Client stakeholders.
Provide quick and independent resolution of minor piping design queries.
Obtain inputs from Client and field teams as required; expedite vendor inputs.
Verify P&IDs against site as-built conditions and prepare red-line markups.
For turnaround (MOC) jobs, propose cost- and time-effective solutions, including demolition and tie-in philosophy.
Verify feasibility of engineering deliverables against site conditions.
Represent the team in joint design reviews, participate in Client reviews, and coordinate resolution of issues.
Initiate discussions/meetings with stakeholders (Client, Vendor, etc.) to expedite design issue resolution.
Design site-suitable access/maintenance measures for equipment, valves, and other components identified during commissioning/operations.
(e.g., platforms, crossovers, monorails).
Hands-on experience in key piping deliverables: Equipment Layout, Piping Layout, Piping BOQ, Piping Isometrics, Pipe Supports.
Provide inputs for piping material specifications and valve procurement (added advantage).
Required Skills & Competencies
Familiarity with relevant
oil & gas industry codes and standards .
Strong understanding of
project lifecycle , piping detail engineering, timelines, and milestones.
Knowledge of inter-discipline coordination and interfaces.
Experience in
brownfield / revamp / turnaround projects (MOC, outages) .
Good working knowledge of
3D engineering platforms (PDMS, SP3D, etc.) .
Site experience during construction/commissioning phase (advantage).
Strong proficiency in:
Hand sketches and site mark-ups.
Preparing mark-ups on photos/screenshots using MS Paint or similar tools.
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
