Responsibilities
Line Station Management
- Management of Line Station Operations and Restart, factoring availability of manpower, equipment and facilities
- Sourcing and engaging of THAs in new stations for the most competitive rates, with services best suited to support all Scoot operations
- Appointing the chosen THA, and ensuring that Contract, training, approval from authorities and other requirements are met and completed before the station starts
- Station spares management to ensure that required spares and consumables are positioned at each station on time
- Arrange for training for Engineers to be trained and ready to support Scoot Operations
- Arrange for engineers onboard to support line stations with no local THA
- Work with THAs to ensure that any ramp up of services or configuration changes are accounted for
- Explore pooling support with THAs or regional airlines in cases for AOG with spares requirements
- Managing in-house Engineers On Board (EOB) for Scoot
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Quality, Network Planning, Finance, and Legal) to ensure operational readiness of technical handling vendors
- Collaborating closely with the Engineering Line Operations team to ensure seamless transit activities in overseas operations
Commercial and Financial Matters
- Monitoring of Technical Handling Agent contracts and execution of services
- Verification of Technical Handling Agent invoices and ensure accuracy and cost effectiveness of charges
- Constantly explore opportunities for cost reduction through volume discounts or alternative vendors
- Monitor contracts with yearly escalation to ensure that cost increased is minimised
- Monitor Contractual due dates and renew as required or engage and contract new THAs
- Conduct routine market review for evergreen contracts as per procurement requirements
- Evaluating and analyzing costs for new and existing technical handling agreements
- Assessing Requests for Proposal (RFP) for cost comparison and vendor selection
- Networking, maintains and nurtures relationships with global suppliers to ensure seamless collaboration
Requirements
- Preferably with knowledge of aircraft operations and contracts;
- Basic knowledge in finance and costing.
- Team oriented and resourceful but able to work independently, when required.
- Good Interpersonal skills & Communication skills, both oral and written English.
- Communicate effectively at all levels, manage stakeholders from vendors as well as both internal and external departments.
- High problem solving skills.
- Strong creative output and execution with cost constraints
- Basic knowledge on Singapore Aviation Regulation
