Senior Engineering Manager
Work Dynamics - Integrated Facilities Management
Key Responsibilities of a Senior Engineering Manager:
- Deliver services for property operation and maintenance, including customer/client services, budget management, facility maintenance, procurement, and supplier management.
- Develop client relationships to support corporate real estate goals.
- Lead the team in inspection, testing, and maintenance of facilities systems, ensuring compliance with local codes.
- Monitor MEP maintenance services for quality and timely delivery.
- Provide engineering oversight for comprehensive facility, contract, and procurement management for engineering services.
- Contribute to achieving financial targets, KPIs, and meeting service level agreements.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Provide technical advice to Facilities Engineers, technicians, and project teams.
- Lead team members in task execution.
- Report and escalate incidents; act as the point of contact for engineering escalations.
- Involve in general building process and mechanical system issues; lead troubleshooting and restoring HVAC systems.
- Mentor and train staff, ensuring they have necessary equipment and tools for safe job performance.
- Manage and program building management systems (BMS).
- Perform maintenance planning, implementation, and review of site-specific engineering processes and protocols.
- Contribute to investigating facilities-related issues; lead troubleshooting and restoring systems.
- Maintain documentation of all maintenance performed, including system deficiencies.
- Perform risk assessments & Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).
- Facilitate Work Order processing (CMMS /Corrigo workflow).
- Provide effective solutions for site daily operations and technical issues.
- Ensure all essential site activities, including maintenance, are performed safely and efficiently, complying with all relevant policies and regulations.
- Lead audits to ensure safety procedures, disaster recovery, business continuity plans, and escalation procedures are in place and maintained.
Performance Excellence:
- Foster positive working relationships by meeting and exceeding service level agreements.
- Ensure all key performance indicators are met.
Championing Improvement and Projects:
- Monitor spend and budgets for engineering contracts.
- Suggest improvements and savings for engineering systems.
- Coordinate with vendors on projects, ensuring proper management, safety audits, and timely repairs.
- Act as the engineering point of contact, working with system leads on forecasts and planning.
- Be open to new and innovative ideas, focus on continuous improvement, and customer delight.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Diploma or degree in engineering (Mechanical/Electrical).
- At least five years of experience in an office environment or engineering operations.
- Strong background in engineering troubleshooting is a plus.
- Proven experience in facilities system operations, MEP installations, etc.
- Experience in electrical and safety, HSE programs is a plus.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Ability to communicate technical issues to non-engineering colleagues, clients, and vendors.
