Project Manager Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineering Project Manager to join our team.
- Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; confers with management.
- Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigns personnel to phases and elements; reviews offers from contractors.
- Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completes technical studies; prepares works estimates.
- Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.
- Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculates time requirements; sequences project elements.
- Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinates activities; resolves problems.
- Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommends actions.
- Controls project costs by approving expenditures; administers contractor contracts.
- Prepares project status reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends; recommends actions.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains product and company reputation by complying with regulations.
- Maintains and controls paperwork and submittals for approval requirements.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Travel to project sites to witness start-up, integration, and training sessions.
- Assists in the preparation of tender or pre-sales work whenever necessary.
Requirements and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Engineering, Certified Piping Engineer (CPE) or other related equivalent certification.
- 5 years+ of experience in piping engineering, design, or project execution.
- Experience in industrial, oil & gas, power plants, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Preferred candidates with a background in Data Centres, Oil & Gas, Power Plants, or Industrial Facilities.
Key Skills and Abilities
The successful candidate will possess:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D, Caesar II (pipe stress analysis), and Navisworks.
- Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, pipe stress, and thermal expansion analysis.
- Knowledge of ASME B31.3, API, ANSI, NFPA, and other industry standards.
- Experience with welding processes, material selection, and non-destructive testing (NDT).
