This pivotal position sits within the Global Engagement team under NTU's Career & Attachment Office.
It plays a strategic role in supporting NTU's responsibilities as the lead coordinator for the India Ready Talent (IRT) Programme—an initiative jointly supported by Singapore's Ministry of Trade and Industry, Enterprise Singapore (ESG), and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
The programme brings together Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) across Singapore to foster talent development and cross-border collaboration with India.
Job Descriptions:
Programme Operations and Customer Service Management
- Execute the outreach, application and placement process for IRT.
- Develop marketing and outreach materials for IRT.
- Offer advice and guidance to IHLs, organisations and students about IRT during the application and placement process.
- Outreach and organise info-sessions and pre-departure briefings for IRT.
- Provide essential information through participating IHLs to all participants, eg.
GRT, Visa, insurance coverage, etc.
- Support in other overseas internship programmes and administrative work assigned.
Business Development & Stakeholders Management
- Develop timeline of activities for each IRT campaign cycle and share with all stakeholders, ESG, CII, IHL.
- Coordinate with all stakeholders to facilitate communication and processes.
- Initiate and arrange briefings and other communication modes to inform all stakeholders of the upcoming campaign.
- Liaise with partnering organisations and consult with relevant authorities to obtain essential information on JDs, visas, etc.
- Assist in curating internship job descriptions and collate suitable internship opportunities.
Strategy management and reporting
- Conduct feedback and evaluation from host organisations and students.
- Collate interesting stories for future outreach and awareness.
- Assist in collating relevant information and data for reporting and analysis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in any field from a recognized tertiary institution or diploma from a recognized polytechnic.
- Preferably 2 years working experience in education sector, human resources and/or public services.
- Prior experience in programme or event management, administrative functions, and managing overseas or student programmes is preferred.
- Conversant with student management in tertiary education.
- Understand internship arrangement and how it can be facilitated.
- Good understanding of the job market, hiring process and practices, job roles and requirement for some industries.
- Able to understand and associate basic technical and core skills competencies with various job roles.
- Understand how the use of technological tools and data can support certain administrative functions and decision.
- Basic programme management and event organising skill.
- Organisation skills for administrative processes, extensive use of email, systems, basic data management.
- Conversant with the use of technology to improve work flow.
- Able to build basic processes to fulfil administrative duties and management of programmes.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Task driven and result oriented.
- Able to work with diverse groups of stakeholders.
