Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Business Partnering & Insights for Growth:

  • Partner closely with the CEO and multi-functional leadership team (MFT) to co-develop and execute long-term financial strategies that directly support the company's mission and ambitious growth targets within the wellness sector.

  • Translate complex financial data and SME business nuances into clear, actionable insights and recommendations that demonstrably drive business results, moving beyond theoretical analysis.

  • Lead the integrated financial planning process, encompassing the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), with a focus on aligning financial targets with key performance indicators (KPIs) across the organization.

  • Conduct rigorous in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend identification, and benchmarking against industry best practices, to proactively identify both risks and opportunities for enhanced performance.

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Operations) to understand their pain points, provide financial solutions, and optimize business performance in support of strategic wellness initiatives.

  • Prepare and present clear, concise, and insightful financial statements, reports, and presentations to senior leadership and external stakeholders, highlighting key trends, performance drivers, and strategic implications.

Capital Strategy, Fundraising & Shareholder Relations:

  • Fine tune compelling shareholder presentations, sophisticated financial models, and comprehensive fundraising materials to articulate the company's value proposition and growth potential within the TCM wellness market.

  • Evaluate and recommend optimal capital structure strategies to fuel sustainable scaling and maximize shareholder value.

  • Proactively manage cash flow, liquidity, and financing risks, ensuring the company's financial stability and flexibility.

  • Cultivate and manage strong relationships with existing and potential shareholders and financial institutions, serving as a key point of contact for financial inquiries and reporting.

  • Participate actively in strategic discussions and provide financial expertise in relation to potential mergers, acquisitions, corporate development initiatives, and other strategic investments that align with the company's growth in the wellness space.

High-Performing Team Leadership & Compliance:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3-4 finance and accounting professionals, providing hands-on guidance, support, and coaching to enhance their skills and contributions.

  • Delegate tasks strategically to ensure efficient day-to-day operations while fostering a culture of ownership and continuous learning within the team.

  • Oversee all aspects of regulatory compliance, ensuring the timely and accurate submission of GST filings, Annual Reports, ECI, Form C, and other statutory requirements specific to Singapore.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and cultivate a collaborative, high-trust team culture that encourages open communication, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

Process Enhancement & Technology Adoption:

  • Continuously assess and improve existing FP&A processes, leveraging technology and automation to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

  • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance forecasting models, reporting tools, and data analytics capabilities, potentially exploring AI-powered solutions to gain deeper insights from Xero data.

  • Implement financial best practices and streamline workflows to optimize the finance function's contribution to the company's growth.

Risk Management & Strategic Initiatives:

  • Proactively identify financial risks specific to the wellness industry and the company's scaling phase, and develop effective mitigation strategies.

  • Monitor relevant market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes within the TCM sector to anticipate potential financial risks and opportunities.

  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the company's financial assets and ensure data integrity.

  • Lead special projects and strategic initiatives critical to business growth, including potential M&A activities and collaborations with external legal and financial advisors.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

    CPA, CFA, or ACCA qualification is highly preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior FP&A or Finance Business Partnering leadership role, demonstrating hands-on experience across core accounting and finance functions within an SME environment.

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing financial strategies that have directly contributed to business growth and profitability in a scaling organization.

  • Expert proficiency in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and advanced Excel skills.

    Experience with financial planning systems (specify any preferred systems if applicable beyond openness to new tools) and Xero is essential.

  • Strong experience in capital strategy, fundraising processes, and managing relationships with investors and shareholders.

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in managing, mentoring, and developing high-performing finance teams.

  • Deep understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements in Singapore.

  • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, problem-solving, communication (both written and verbal), and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly to diverse audiences.

  • Proactive and results-oriented individual with strong business acumen and a passion for understanding the drivers of an SME business.

  • Highly adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, effectively managing competing priorities and stakeholder expectations (e.g., investors vs.

    internal sales).

  • Demonstrated ability to connect with multi-functional teams, understand their operational challenges, and translate those into financial priorities and solutions.

Preferred:

  • Experience within the wellness, healthcare, or TCM industry.

  • Familiarity with AI-powered financial analysis and automation tools.
