Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive
IT Infrastructure Engineer
to join our Singapore office.
This role is central to supporting and maintaining our global IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across systems and networks.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with project leadership skills and can work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day support and maintenance for network switches, routers, and global VMware virtualized infrastructure across the Asia region.
Oversee global backup, monitoring systems, and voice infrastructure (Cisco Unified Communications), addressing issues promptly and prioritizing effectively.
Act as a third-line support resource for Windows desktop and server environments, delivering professional resolution to complex user requests.
Support all aspects of IT infrastructure, including hands-on tasks such as onboarding, desk moves, and end-user support when required.
Maintain accurate documentation of all technical processes, procedures, and system configurations.
Adhere to company policies, standards, and procedures, escalating incidents, policy breaches, or near misses to the line manager.
Participate actively in business continuity planning, testing, and cybersecurity initiatives, championing best practices.
Lead and take ownership of complex infrastructure projects, including large-scale hardware and software deployments.
Research, propose, and implement solutions to technical challenges, sharing knowledge with the broader team.
Support the Technology Infrastructure Manager with ad hoc responsibilities and initiatives and provide after-hours support as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (minimum 2:1 classification).
Professional certifications such as
CCNA, VMware, or Microsoft
credentials are highly desirable.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar infrastructure role, preferably within
investment management or financial services .
Proven ability to deliver technical projects in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments and manage enterprise-level infrastructure operations.
Technical Skills:
Required:
Proficient in
Cisco Unified Communications
(Expressway, Jabber).
Strong knowledge of Cisco switching and routing (CCNA level or higher).
Skilled in
PowerShell scripting
for automation and system management.
Hands-on experience with
VMware administration
and enterprise storage systems.
Familiarity with
Nagios, Grafana, and Prometheus
for infrastructure monitoring.
Desirable:
Knowledge of
Cisco AMP
endpoint protection.
Experience with
Veeam
backup solutions.
Familiarity with
Nimble Storage
systems.
Exposure to container technologies such as
Docker .
