We specialise in mission-critical systems that power financial markets, and we’re expanding our team with a seasoned Senior IT Systems Engineer who thrives in dynamic, high-stakes environments.
We are looking for a senior level cloud infrastructure expert with deep experience in Microsoft Azure, and 365.
You’ll be responsible for administration and maintenance of our clients' systems, as well as involved in design and optimization of cloud environments operating in the finance sector.
This role will also be part of our escalation team and will need to demonstrate expert level skillset within Microsoft technologies.
Key Responsibilities

Cloud & Infrastructure Operations: Provide support for cloud and on-prem systems, including Azure VMs, storage, and networking; Maintain system health, perform patching, backups, and configuration reviews; Troubleshoot escalated issues across Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and GCP.
Network & Security Administration: Implement secure network segmentation, ACLs, and NAT rules; Coordinate VAPT activities and remediation efforts; Administer Azure, AWS, and GCP services including compute, storage, IAM, and monitoring; Enforce cloud governance, tagging, and cost optimisation; Support automation using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash); Administer Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Defender, and Purview; Manage identities, licensing, conditional access, and compliance policies; Virtualisation & HCI Support VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, and HCI platforms; Perform VM provisioning, migrations, and performance tuning.
Backup & Disaster Recovery: Execute DR testing and maintain business continuity documentation.
Security Operations: Monitor and respond to alerts from SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms; Enforce access controls, MFA, DLP, and compliance standards (ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST); Work with L1/L3 teams to resolve incidents and implement infrastructure changes; Participate in CAB meetings and document change impacts; Recommend performance and cost-efficiency enhancements; Stay current with cloud technologies and contribute to automation and knowledge sharing.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Proven experience in financial services or trading environments.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure essential.
Familiarity with Citrix Cloud, Active Directory, Windows Server, and backup systems.
Experience with endpoint protection, threat analysis (CrowdStrike/Defender), and IT monitoring tools.
Linux administration (RHEL, Ubuntu) and shell scripting useful.
Interpersonal & Leadership Qualities: Proactive, responsive, and client focused; Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues for business stakeholders; Team-oriented with regional collaboration experience; Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities; Passion for learning and technical growth.
